Grants
Marlin is an open-source protocol and everyone is welcome to contribute to the development of the protocol and its ecosystem.
Developers, researchers and community members interested in furthering Marlin's mission can apply for grants towards:
- Core Protocol development
- Code Audits
- Integrations with existing projects
- Build new projects in the ecosystem
- UI/UX
- Host hackathons/events
Basic Details
- Projects need to be open-source.
- Grants will be provided based on milestones (30% upfront, 30% on mid-review and 40% on completion).
- Goals must be achieved within 3 months.
- Discord and/or Telegram groups will be created to communicate.
- Feedback will be provided throughout the timeline.
Applying for a Grant
Submit an application by filling this form or emailing inquiry [at] marlin [dot] org containing:
- A brief overview of the proposal.
- Description of what you are trying to solve/build/do.
- Explain how this would better the Marlin ecosystem.
- Why you/your team is best suited for the task at hand?
- Describe the scope in detail with a timeline (max 3 months) and milestones.
- An estimate of how many hours would be spent for the project.
- How much funding is required.
Guidelines
The application needs to contain information on:

Achievability: The objectives need to be feasible and sufficient research should be done ahead of time to ensure success. Goal posts cannot be shifted after funding begins.

Proven track record: Prior experience in the industry or demonstrated capability to ensure the successful completition of the task.

Impact on Marlin: How the project/task will have a positive impact on Marlin and the community.
